Anywhere from 2 weeks to a lifetime! Mission organizations understand that it’s pretty hard for most young adults to see beyond the next 3 years. So it really depends on what you want to achieve and what options are open at the time.

Obviously to learn a language & culture really well and be most effective does take time, but there are many roles that are for short segments of time and that may suit you well.

Some mission agencies have opportunities that are for 1-2 years specifically designed for young adults.
